The Mayor of Cobar, local member and prize winners

We toured the dramatic sites of Cobar - think open-cut mines and the longest iron verandah on a pub in New South Wales. In the afternoon, I ran a writer's workshop in the very pleasant library. The next day, we then joined the fun at the Olympic Pool on Australia Day, where the formalities were held. Thank heavens for a good sound system and enthusiastic audience. It was 44 degrees! Lots of photos of red earth and good memories of great country hospitality.
